Internet
Machines brings years of experience in both
ASIC design and networking systems development to
the task of creating its simply powerful network
processing, traffic management and switch fabric
solutions. |
|
The
IMpower family consists of three
chips and a software development kit:

|
|
|
|
|
Because
Internet Machines is focused on developing valuable
intellectual property rather than reinventing
readily available technology, the IMpower family
raises the bar for performance and features, while
remaining easy to use.
|
| Highly
Integrated |
|
The
IMpower family delivers the highest level of integration
and performance available today for OC-192c and
10 Gigabit systems, and the flexibility of its
architecture assures scalability to OC-768.
|
| Interoperable |
|
The
three chips are designed to work together to deliver
a complete system-centric solution, or designers
can use industry-standard interfaces to incorporate
an individual chip with other networking components.
|
| Protocol
Independent |
|
Each
IMpower chip uses "any header and payload"
processing that allows it to concurrently handle
multiple different protocols and services on different
subchannels.
|
|
 |
|
Simply Powerful. The NPE10 is a
single chip, protocol-independent 10 Gbps network
processing engine that is easy to program, but
behind the scenes, uses massively parallel processors
for unprecedented performance.
Simple.
A straightforward single-threaded programming
model simplifies design integration, and developers
can use familiar, off-the-shelf GNU compilers
and assemblers. In addition, a full suite of development
tools, including forwarding code and a clock cycle-accurate
software simulator of the NPE10, is available.
Powerful.
By using massively parallel RISC processors, patent-pending
techniques, and an advanced 0.13-micron process,
Internet Machines is able to deliver true wire-speed
packet processing for any packet size at full-duplex
OC-192c and 10 Gbps rates. Multiple different
protocol types and services can be simultaneously
supported on different subchannels.

 |
|
High
Capacity.The SE200 is the highest-capacity,
single-chip switch element available today, delivering
200 Gbps now and scalable to terabit switching.
Sixty-four embedded serializer-deserializer (SERDES)
transceivers optimize performance and increase
integration.

|

|
|
|
Comprehensive.
The TMC10 traffic management co-processor is the
most comprehensive, single chip full-duplex OC-192c
traffic management co-processor available today.
It uses Internet Machines' patented Parallel Channel
Architecture, which provides for zero-loss fabric
redundancy, and embedded serializer-deserializer
(SERDES) transceivers deliver optimal performance
and integration

Internet
Machines' Development Workbench comprises an extensive
suite of graphical, user-friendly software development
tools, including a clock cycle-accurate simulator
of the NPE10 network processor. This full-featured
software development kit allows systems designers
to quickly evaluate the NPE10, as well as develop
forwarding code early in the development cycle,
accelerating the introduction of new features
in weeks rather than years.

By
selecting IMpower chips, system designers will
benefit from the years of experience Internet
Machines' engineers have being system designers
and ASIC developers. A simple programming model
using familiar tools makes the completion of an
OC-192c or 10 Gbps project in months rather than
years a reality - with the added benefit of in-service
upgrades and scalability to OC-768. Protocol independence
means not having to guess about which way the
world's networks are going. And a complete family
of silicon and software gives developers a comprehensive
network processing solution - today.
