Founded in January 2000, our vision is to establish Internet Machines' network processor and switch fabric architecture as the de facto industry standard. We have already raised over $80 million in venture capital from premier investors such as Redpoint Ventures, Meritech Capital, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Exar.

We hired our 100th employee in November 2000, and are continuing to grow at a fast pace, with 80-90% of our resources dedicated to engineering our world-class chipset. Our first product, a software development kit (SDK), shipped in March 2001.

We are headquartered along the 101 Tech Corridor in beautiful Agoura Hills, California and we have design facilities in Irvine and San Diego, California. Our sales force is headquartered in San Jose, California, with another sales office in Boston, Massachusetts.

We are using an innovative approach to provide developers of Internet infrastructure equipment with a family of highly integrated, protocol-independent network processors and switch fabrics for OC-192 and OC-768 speeds.

Our target customers build core routers and switches, metro core and aggregation systems, data center and storage area network (SAN) systems and products in other emerging segments.

Unlike most semiconductor companies, we focus on offering a system solution, rather than piece parts.  Our complete chipset will dramatically shorten a system vendor's time to market and results in systems with feature differentiation that can be ready for market in six to 12 months (instead of the typical 24-36 months) because we offer:

	A highly integrated system solution. Our solution integrates network processing and switching functions into fewer chips than anyone else. Integration represents a laundry list of goodness for the system developer.
	Concurrent protocol-independent, multiservice support. We can support multiple protocols and voice and data services concurrently with both network processor and switch fabric. This increases system flexibility and allows designers to incorporate a broader feature set.
	Wire-speed software programmable. All packet processing and forwarding is done at wire speed by software. Our chips solve the system designer's problems, and allow customization using straightforward software programming. Upgrades are simply software downloads, eliminating the need for forklift upgrades, and extending the system's life cycle.
